Bam & Beans Blog Introduction

This is Bam and Beans Blog. Bam is a 6 year old, Olde English Bulldogge and Beans is a 5 month old mix. Both Bam and Beans are rescues. Bam was found on Craigslist at around 9 weeks old. A young girl had bought him but had to care for a sick relative and couldn't keep a new puppy. He came from a breeder of Olde English Bulldogges and came from a breeder in Chicago. He has papers through the OEDBA association.

Beans is a rescue from a rescue organization in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. His Petfinder profile stated he was a Chihuaha, however we're thinking he's a Chihuaha / Minpin mix or possibly a Chihuaha / Dachsund mix, just because of his looks as well as his longer body. With every mutt and mixed dog having to have some cute name these days I guess he'd be either a Chipin or a Chin Pin if he's a Chihuaha / Minpin mix or if he's a Chihuaha / Dachsun mix they are often referred to as Chiweenies.

Bam Bam has never been a super active dog, though as he's aged he's turned into more of a couch potatoe. Beans is still a puppy and active and hyper. One upside to getting a new puppy was hopefully getting Bam Bam more active and giving him someone to play with. It seems to have worked as Bam and Beans enjoy chasing each other around the house and fighting for toys. Beans is much quicker so he loves taking Bams toys and running away playing keep away or hiding behind couches or under tables where he knows Bam can't follow him. One of Beans favorite activities is biting Bam on his ankles and running under a table or behind a couch. When Bam goes to seek him out Beans will pop out the other side and deliver another bite to Bams butt or the back of his ankles and the chase is on.

This blog will probably mainly be pictures and videos of Bam and Beans with the occasional product review or product recommendation. We may at times also touch on the unique health issues Bulldogs face or B.A.R.F. diets, raw feeding, and other issues like that.
